Is Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Automation Going to Make You Obsolete?

What This Initiative Is About

The world is on the cusp of unprecedented change, and it involves you. Artificial intelligence (AI), Robotics (R) and Automation (A) are converging in a way most people just could not have imagined 3 years ago. This is happening across all industries and will reshape the nature of work, home and play.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the intelligence exhibited by machines or software. Its central goals include reasoning, knowledge, planning, learning, natural language processing and perception. Robotics (R) on the other hand is the interdisciplinary branch of engineering and science that includes mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science to develop machines that can substitute for humans. And Automation (A) is commonly defined as the creation and application of technology to monitor and control the production and delivery of products and services with minimal or no human intervention.

Together advancements in AI, Robotics and Automation (AIRA) have been said to form an existential threat to humanity.

A recent study from Oxford University of 700 occupations has suggested that 47% of existing jobs are at risk of automation in the next 20 years. The World Economic Forum in 2016 warned that automation, robotics and artificial intelligence will replace 5 million human jobs by 2020 alone with a more significant impact to follow. And while most people think it's blue collar jobs that are at risk, experts suggest the disruption to white collar jobs will be 10 times greater than blue collar jobs.

Simultaneously, customer expectations have been rising steadily, they are demanding better value than ever before and new innovative business models are disrupting not just organisations, but industries and countries too.

What does all of this mean for you and your organisation? Join us to get a full sense of the entire set of dynamics with respect to the age of AI, Robotics and Automation and give yourself a forward edge over others.
